So, I've been assigned the task of purchasing a new digital camera.
It went something like this: Emily:"So can I assign you to get a new camera?" pause....... "before the end of the month" shorter pause "this month"? (seems someone is planning on being really busy next month!)
Martin;"uh.....sure." and thinking, 'when am I going to have the time to look into this?'
So do any of you have some advice on the digital cameras out there? I like my old SLR camera, for the functionality of different lenses and zoom and stuff, but really, we just need something that takes really good pictures, is durable (I drop stuff lots) and easy to carry around (no 20 lb. camera bags please).
I's like advice too. I'd like to replace my door-prize digital! A lady in our scrapbooking class bought a Fuji yesterday ($40 off at Staples). She took some pictures and had them printed off, and they look good!
ReplyDeleteSteph and I like our camera (Panasonic Lumix FZ5) but now it is 'out of date'. It's been good and taught me a 'bit'. If I were to buy another, I'd probably buy the same camera but a few models up (FZ30 or FZ45 or something like that). The models higher than ours have the same features as a standard SLR, with the advantage of being digital, and having the opportunity to buy different lenses. The only thing I don't know is whether the panasonics can accept just 'any' other lenses, or if you have to buy a specific panasonic brand.
