Last Sunday was a beautiful early fall day. Perfect for a country drive to go visit friends and to see an annual oddity here in Nova Scotia. The city of Windsor, N.S. lays claim to a few cultural icons. One of which is being the birthplace of Hockey, and a second is the home of Howard Dill's Giant Pumpkins. Not big pumpkins, GIANT pumpkins! So big you could in fact put one or possibly two people inside a carved out pumpkin, and race it across a lake.
I don't know who won, Maria was getting pretty fussy with all the standing around and waiting, and there were some miniature trains we wanted to have a ride on, so off we went.

We finished the day at a co-worker of mine's place to have a thanksgiving dinner with him and his family. All in all a great family day!
Those pumpkins are too funny!
