Special Friends

Being out in Nova Scotia we are far from family and often find ourselves alone and missing the visits of siblings, parents, cousins, and extended family.

We've adopted some family out here, as you saw in the previous post, Amy and Andrew and their children are very much family to us. Maria fits right in and is loved by all there. We love getting together, checking out parks or playing games when the kids are asleep.

The other family member we've adopted is Maria's 'not so real Aunt, but becoming more real' Amy J.

We often have Amy over, this past week she came by twice. I think it's the food on the barbq that keeps her coming back. Last night she was over and played the WII with us, too funny, poor thing can't move her arms today! But she is a better boxer because of it. Maria gets to enjoy Amy J too, not so much with the feeding oatmeal and changing diapers part of it, more the story time and play time.
