Before I could post snow free pictures, the snow came back. It seems we have all had a very long winter, and like most of you, I'm ready for Spring to come and stay! The girls were pretty excited about the new snow, they love playing outside, no matter the weather!
This morning while waiting for the bus, the girls shoveled the driveway and steps. Later Nicole and I built a snow duck!
In other news, Lauren is still not walking, but we are making progress. I took her to the chiropractor to have her checked. The fact that she wasn't even standing, made me wonder if there was more then the lack of interest. Sure enough, in simple terms, she had a pinched nerve in her butt on her left side, resulting in the under development of that leg muscle. Now that she is being adjusted she is able to start building that muscle. Having her stand against things seems to be working though the progress is slow. Hoping she catches up soon as she is rather heavy and getting quite big!
The other thing that has been happening around here is some speech and language therapy. We've been having Julia come into our home to work with Nicole and Maria, both girls love this time, and are making great progress in their speech (Maria) and language (Nicole) skills. Lauren likes to sit next to Julia's feet and listen in, quite cute.
These are some of the updates with the girls.
I myself am doing alright, ups and downs as usual. The big change for me is that I am really enjoying my time at home more, now that Lauren is quite self sufficient and sleeping through the night. Feeling more rested and greater sense of peace about me, helps me cope with the continuous issues arising around here with three girls! My fibromyalgia has been flaring up quite frequently, giving me difficulty in the physical day to day things, such as laundry, cleaning, laundry, groceries, diaper changes, laundry, hair brushing, dressing the girls, did I mention laundry?? As long as I can keep my inner peace about me, I manage. Having a couple of good friends around has been helping too. Hoping with Spring on the calendar, it will soon arrive in the air and warm my joints up.
Last of all Martin, well, he has much to much going on for me to write about, so I'll list his current activities.
Closed on another property, commercial/residential with his Real Estate partner Ian. Making that two with Ian and two of his own
Renovating the basement here, slowly and gradually
Working on another Investment Opportunity
Most time consuming is his new roll at work. He is president of the Union, this means meetings in Toronto, contract negotiations, processing/dealing with pilot complaints and disagreements, answering calls/emails anytime of day (supper time usually) due to current issues.
Okay so this is one long blog, it's been awhile since I've posted and life keeps whizzing by. Hope this finds you all well.
Blessings
Emily
