Shed Delay

Martin forgot to do his due diligence and rumor had it (nosey other street neighbours) that he needs a Development Permit to build a garden shed. Today I did part of his homework and tracked down the building official for our area. Martin now has to submit a site plan with dimensions of the building, site location, distance from house, side yards and rear yards. He also needs to do a floor plan as per the use of such shed and submit 3 copies to the Office. So much for a simple structure....

    BHAHAHAHA
    that sucks.

    But look at it this way, If you were in Banff you would need a permit to change the siding of said shed, and permission to change part of your lawn from grass to patio...

    But then I think Banff needs this level of regulation, otherwise we would end up with too many hodge podge structures and ugly buildings.
