Updates

Maria is starting to make progress with the potty. She understands the process but doesn't always want to go on the potty. When she does go she is very excited about it. Another sign that she is getting there is the refusal to be changed, doesn't like it at all....I tell her she can do it herself if she uses the potty. We'll get there, mommy is just not ready to go without the diapers yet.
Maria is also talking in sentences "I do it" "No Cole, I want that" "Cole that is mine" "That hurts Cole" "Don't pull hair Cole" "That's Nice" "I love you mommy" "I love you Cole" "Daddy flying in plane"
Maria has her colors down, her numbers to 10 down and almost the alphabet. Yeah for Maria!

Nicole is getting more teeth, working on three, and has three. She is also showing her feisty side, likes to show it by hitting, grabbing hair, skin, or clothes, and kicking. Nicole knows how to be sweet in public and with strangers! Her first word "HI" with a big hand out! Nicole also refuses to eat from a spoon, and wants to feed herself, therefore, all food goes in with the hands, including oatmeal, mashed potatoes, and ketchup. She knows she isn't going to get any yogurt if she doesn't take it from the spoon I feed it to her on.

Martin is working non stop everywhere but here....lots of flying, meetings with church and his real estate partner. He's made a couple of trips to New Glasgow to work on the property there, keeps up with maintenance on properties here, and is painting a friend's kitchen! My list is long for both inside and outside the house but it isn't going anywhere, and I bring it up every so often, sweetly of course....

Myself, well, I keep going. Girls keep me busy. I am trying to keep a meal plan going that rotates every four weeks. Trying to get some gardening done, but mostly get outside with the girls and go for walks to the parks or puddle jump in the driveway on wet days and ride toys on dry days. Finished up a Wednesday morning women's group this week, which I will definitely miss, so will the girls with their social activities. We do play dates regularly, and the library weekly.
I've been reading the book, Becoming A Spirit-Led Mom by Quin Sherrer and Ruthanne Garlock. Such a good book and since I'm borrowing it, I'll have to get my own copy, seems like a book I could read every six months. I feel like I am becoming more at peace and happier as a stay-at-home mom. Finding moments for myself during the day and appreciating all that I get to see and do with the girls.

As a family we hope to get in some good camping time this summer and just enjoy each other!

Thank you God for all Your Blessings
