So usually Sundays are great for relaxing around the house, perhaps with a book and a snooze on the couch, but today with the sunshine, we thought we should do something different.
Maria was especially energetic after church. She usually falls asleep on the drive home, but today for some reason, no such luck. So we decided to give the new stroller a go, and head over to Shubie park for a nice walk, and to check out the dogs and ducks that seem to be everywhere there.
Here's Emily and the girls trying out the new uber-luxury snazzy new double decker stroller (Nicole is stashed underneath Maria). It doesn't drive itself or hold golf clubs, so its not quite perfect.
We are also trying to get a feel for the house market around here, as our current abode is getting a little tight. We started off with a few viewings at open houses to narrow down our likes and dislikes. We have discovered 3 things:
1. new houses are nice and complete, but lack character and any real yard/personal space. And the only thing even close to or price range is a townhouse.
2. older houses have the character we like, but they cost about $100-150,000 more than our current house if they are mostly fixed up, or they cost $40-50,000 more than our current house and need a pile of work yet to finish them.
3. Emily doesn't want to live in a renovation for a few years. (I think she doesn't mind it so much, but we have 2 kids now)
So there, we have to come up with a pile of money somehow, or learn to deal with our little house for a little while longer.
I doubt we'll be moving anytime soon.
Maria look cute.
