The latest and greatest

Well, by now I'm sure you have all heard...we are expecting our first child this November! We are both excited and terrified, as I'm sure all you parents can sympathize with. So far Emily is doing well, as well as she can be I suppose. In some respects it would be nice to be closer to family, but we do have an 'extended' family out here through the church that is more than willing to lend a hand.
My current project is getting our new home ready to move into. We took possession last Monday, which was a very hectic morning indeed! We flew in from Ottawa first thing in the morning, got a bank draft for the closing costs (good thing there was enough $ in the account, we totally forgot about this!), I went to do a final inspection of the house, then went back to pick up Emily and go to the lawyers, then back home and back to the lawyers because I forgot to bring a void check for the mortgage, do a little bit of groceries, then off to work! Fortunately I ended up not having to work right away and had a chance to take a nap before going to work.
The next few weeks will be busy with the house. We plan to re insulate it and a whole new bathroom and kitchen! Emily is just hoping to start feeling not nauseated all the time!
So if you want to come visit, bring your tent or trailer and come on by! We can look into bed and breakfasts for those of you who don't like roughing it.
